Introducing Half Price Shipping
Many of our customers have told us they feel our shipping rates are just too high. We can assure you that our rates have always been calculated directly through the carrier. We can tell folks just do not ship much these days because they really have no idea how much it really costs to ship products. This is likely to get worse as the fuel cost rises. Ours have mostly been right on the penny based on total weight + destination of package. We have noticed that those offering FREE shipping have a lot of fine print such as, "when purchasing a certain item", "first time customers only", "minimum purchase of $100", or it is shipped the slowest way possible, etc. We have no gimmicks & we are doing what we can to split this cost with you every time you shop with us!
We simply cannot offer FREE Shipping but we are willing to compromise & split the cost with you. How did we do this? Simple, we edited all of our products to reflect half their shipping weight [with the exception of Beach Towels/Pillows which are drop shipped from our partner in Orlando]. Please Note that there will be a one pound minimum for any package. So this would be the lowest you would pay for a TWO pound package.
Estimated Priority Rates:
East Coast runs around $5.45 for the first pound
West Coast runs around $5.95 for the first pound
Local Area [FL] runs around $5.10 for the first pound
FedEx Home Delivery [Ground] Rates are calculated by Zone & are adjusted daily for fuel charges so we are unable to post an accurate minimum estimated rate. Our shopping cart can show you both options ... just click "display rates" next to the carriers.
If in doubt, please feel free to check rates for yourself at www.usps.com or www.fedex.com Our zip code is 34135 In fact, we encourage you to check for yourself so that you know you are getting your money's worth. Don't be fooled by the Small Flat Rate Box/Envelope ... there isn't much that can fit into this box! Like they say on their commercials "If it fits, it ships for a low rate" but it has to fit, right?
When calculating sunscreen, please take into account that an 8 oz bottle may weigh 10-12 oz. for shipping weight. Why? Because the fluid oz. listed on the bottle is what is INSIDE the bottle, it does not reflect what the packaging weighs.
This doesn't quite work the same for our International Customers but if they use the "By Weight - International Only" option they will get two pounds for the price of a one pound package, etc. The $42.00 Flat Rate Box can hold up to 12 [8 oz] bottles of sunscreen OR 4 [20.5 oz] Aloe Vera Lotions. If in doubt about what can fit, please contact us prior to ordering. Many of our international customers use this Flat Rate Box & go in with friends, family or neighbors to split the shipping cost! |
